Dacia Douhaibi is a second year doctoral student in the Geography department at York University. Preceding this she completed an undergraduate degree in Anthropology and a graduate degree in International Relations. Dacia's research interests surround the sustainability of livelihoods in developing countries, particularly those undergoing land reform. Dacia's geographic specialization is East Africa, although she also spent several years working with Aboriginal groups in Canada. Outside of Academia, Dacia has been involved with community organizations that address issues of local environmental conservation and access to clean water.
