Chris Henderson is the preeminent advisor to First Nations, Metis and Inuit communities across Canada in the development of clean energy generation projects meeting Aboriginal rights, and inclusive of indigenous economic benefits and equity participation. The author of the recently published ground-breaking book, Aboriginal Power, Chris will speak to the Why's and How's about renewable energy development in every region of the country that are being catalyzed and empowering Canada's First Peoples.

His presentation, followed by an interactive session will cover issues such as community engagement, partnership negotiations and terms, corporate structuring, ecological issues, project financing, climate change impacts and GHG emissions, Aboriginal benefits and economic development; all from a sustainable development and business-oriented perspective. The impact of Aboriginal Power on Canada's economic and natural resources development will be a feature of his remarks and discussion.
