  • Open House -  On October 10th, 2013, IRIS hosts an open house on the 3rd Floor of York Lanes. IRIS has an overview of the research as well as for information on how you can get involved with IRIS.
  • Holding Canadian Mining Companies Accountable in Canadian Courts for Abuses Committed Abroad: The Hudbay Minerals Litigation. On November 21st, 2013, a lecture was carried by plaintiffs' counsel , Cory Wanless and Murray Klippenstein, Klippensteins Barristers & Solicitors.
  • Assessing the Impacts on Environmental Governance of the Canada-EU Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement. On December 3rd, 2013 at Room 1003, Osgoode Hall Law School there was a public lecture by Kyra Bell-Pasht, Osgoode Hall Law School LL.M. candidate and former Counsel to the Canadian Environmental Law Association. 
  •  COP 19 Debrief - On Monday February 3rd, Professor Idil Boran, Department of Philosophy, will discuss the dynamics of negotiations that took place in Warsaw 2013.
  • NANPS: Implications for Native Plants - On March 4th 2014, Director of IRIS as well as a Biology Professor Dawn Bazely will give a lecture about the latest garlic mustard research.
  • The Ghosts in the Water: Collective Law, Right and the Environment - On March 10th, 2014 Jeffrey Hewitt, Osgoode Visiting McMurtry Fellow, counsel to the Rama First Nation will be the public speaker.
  • Aboriginal Power: Changing the Landscape of Energy & Sustainability Coast-to-Coast Across CanadaOn Friday, March 21 2014, Chris Henderson who is the preeminent advisor to First Nations, Metis and Inuit communities across Canada in the development of clean energy generation projects meeting Aboriginal rights, and inclusive of indigenous economic benefits and equity participation spoke about the Why's and How's about renewable energy development in every region of the country that are being catalyzed and empowering Canada's First Peoples.
  • Climate Change Warming Labels on Gas Pumps On Wednesday, March 26 2014, The Environmental Law Society and IRIS presented a lecture by Our Horizon’s Rob Shirkey.
  • IRIS Research Showcase – On March 27, 2013 IRIS held its 3rd Annual Research Showcase. The focus was on two new books by IRIS Core Faculty members . The Showcase featured Environmental and Human Security in the Arctic by IRIS Director Dawn Bazely as well as Ellie Perkins’ Water and Climate Change in Africa.
